GCHS Graduation Ceremony Weather UPDATE

Good afternoon,
As we continue to monitor the weather forecast, there remains a chance of rain in the early morning hours tomorrow. For that reason, we are keeping the gymnasium set up in the event that the ceremony needs to be held indoors.

HOWEVER, if the forecast improves enough by tomorrow morning to hold the ceremony outside, we will make that adjustment. A final decision regarding the location of the ceremony, indoors or outdoors, will be made and communicated at about 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

If we are able to move the ceremony outdoors, we will need help moving chairs and other items from the gymnasium to the football field in a short amount of time. Many parents have already reached out today to offer assistance, and we are very grateful for that support.

We are hopeful that the forecast continues trending toward sunshine, but either way, we are looking forward to a wonderful ceremony celebrating the Class of 2026.

Each graduate received three tickets this morning for guests to sit inside the gymnasium if the ceremony is held indoors. We will also offer seating in the auditorium, where guests may watch the ceremony on a large-screen livestream. Tickets will not be necessary for auditorium seating.
If the ceremony is held outdoors, tickets will not be necessary for seating in the main bleachers. We will also have shaded seating available on the field for those who need it.

We are also happy to once again provide a livestream video of the graduation ceremony for anyone who would like to view the ceremony from another location.
